The health and safety of our members, employees, and communities is our uncompromising priority.
Centene partners with medical professionals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other government agencies to serve and protect patients during the COVID-19 outbreak, including ensuring that our members and providers have the most up-to-date information to protect themselves and their families from the virus. We are committed to protecting our communities during the outbreak.
Company leadership, our business resilience teams, and representatives from across our businesses are engaging daily to monitor the situation as it evolves and are taking measures to keep employees safe, minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and ensure that we can continue to provide the services that our members rely on for their health and well-being.
Centene's COVID-19 Response
Member Cost-Sharing Waived
Centene announced April 1, 2020, that it will waive COVID-19 related prior authorizations and member cost sharing for related screening, testing and treatment for all Medicare, Medicaid and Marketplace members. As part of this effort, the company will cover all telehealth services related to COVID-19 for these members, as well as all covered healthcare services that can be administered virtually through June 30, 2020.
Provider Guidance & Financial Support
(SBA - Stimulus Package)
While government agencies work to learn more about how this illness is transmitted and treated, we are implementing practices and guidance to keep our members, employees, and our communities healthy, while continuing to provide high-quality healthcare and continuity of care to underserved and vulnerable populations and honoring our dedication to those that we serve.
As the situation evolves, we continue to develop recommendations and tools to assist local providers with information around coverage for COVID-19 testing, treatment, and care, and other pertinent communication.
