It is estimated that more than 63 million individuals received Medicare benefits in 2021. Although the majority served are age 65 and older, Medicare also provides services for dually eligible individuals who qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare due to income level and age or disability. To ensure whole health and quality of life can be achieved within this sizeable population, both physical needs and mental health must be addressed.

Through delivering improved access to high-quality individualized care, partnering with providers, and influencing important legislation, Centene is committed to helping those with Medicare coverage achieve positive health outcomes and experience life to its fullest. A recent white paper from Centene Advanced Behavioral Health outlines current initiatives and innovative programs designed to safeguard the mental health of our Medicare members.
