Michael Neidorff addresses crowd at United Way fundraising kickoff event in front of Centene Corporate Headquarters

Centene was joined by the Stanley Cup at its global headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, for the launch of its 2019 United Way Campaign. For a donation to help kick off our annual fundraiser, employees had a chance to have their photo taken with Stanley--the trophy commemorating the St. Louis Blues' championship season. Centene leadership took part in the rally marking the start of the annual campaign, with Chairman, President and CEO Michael Neidorff sharing inspirational remarks with employees before St. Louis Blues mascot, Louie, energized the crowd.

Centene is proud to be a business leader and corporate partner by investing in institutions and organizations that address local needs, while advancing initiatives that focus on inclusion, the whole person, and community development. Centene's core values closely align with the United Way's mission to advance the common good in communities across the world by funding organizations that improve local healthcare, support educational opportunities, and promote financial stability for those in need.

The cornerstone of Centene's partnership with United Way is our annual corporate giving campaign, channeling much-needed funds back into local communities. Our Chairman, President, and CEO Michael Neidorff chaired the 2017 United Way of Greater St. Louis campaign, exceeding corporate giving goals and setting a fundraising record for the St. Louis community.

In recent years, Centene and its employees have raised millions of dollars for the communities we serve. Our teams consistently set the bar higher each year, raising close to 4 million dollars in 2017 and more than 4.3 million dollars in 2018.

United Way's noble mission resonates with Centene employees on a personal level, but also reflects our company's purpose of transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. Our local activation approach makes us an ideal partner for United Way because no matter where employees give, contributions stay local. Whether employees live in St. Louis, Sacramento, New York, or anywhere across Centene's national network, United Way dollars will be put to work supporting charities in our neighborhoods.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with United Way for years to come, knowing that our contributions improve the health of communities around the world, where we live, work and serve.
