As Centene joins its employees and communities across the country in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, we also recognize the work across our organization that supports the rich heritage and culture of Hispanic and Latino American communities nationwide.

Centene's health plans and specialty companies are dedicated to providing high-quality care while recognizing the social and cultural experiences of our diverse communities. Across the country, Centene’s health plans consistently increase their bilingual outreach efforts to the Hispanic, Latino, and other communities we serve. This includes developing innovative ways to remove barriers and eliminate disparities.

Centene's California health plan, Health Net, was recently recognized for its efforts to remove barriers to care through a health disparity project. The program included addressing postpartum care visits among Hispanic women in California. Centene's New Mexico health plan, Western Sky Community Care, engages with members in ways that are culturally important to them by hosting a variety of traditional health practitioners, including curanderas and promotoras, at its wellness events.

The enterprise fosters Hispanic and Latino community engagement nationwide by partnering with local organizations through opportunities such as the participation of Maryland Physicians Care in the Latino Health Fair, and Arizona Complete Health providing free mammograms at the League of United Latin American Citizens Conference. Impacting those who live and work near our global headquarters, Centene sponsors the Hispanic Leadership Institute, a skills-based training program operated by the St. Louis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Centene is also actively engaged with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Hispanic consumers throughout the U.S. Superior HealthPlan, Centene's Texas plan, recently partnered with the organization on the healthy lifestyle event "!Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!" in Austin, Texas. Additionally, the Centene Charitable Foundation sponsors Nuestros Niños, which provides resources to positively impact healthy early childhood in Hispanic communities.

Centene further supports our commitment to representing the diverse communities in which we live and work through the development of our talent. To bolster our inclusive culture, we cultivate companywide Employee Inclusion Groups (EIGs). Open to all employees across our organization, our EIGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that drive impact by promoting the attraction, development, and retention of the best talent at all levels. Our EIGs are an important means of representing the diversity of the communities in which we serve. Our multicultural Employee Inclusion Group, MOSAIC, works to enhance professional and personal development opportunities for all employees.
